When Jesus gave the parable of the Rich man, the rich man was very uncomfortable. But it sounded like more of a burning then being wet.(but of course in a different dimenision.)
Did you ever hear about that story(don't know if it's true) about the Russians drilling and hearing moaning deep in the heart of the earth?
Of course there are verses that talk about the 'grave know nothing' but I think that is referring only to the physical body.
