This might be interesting re: Paul whom Berg so decried. Paul read pagan Greek poetry, watched their comedies and was not above quoting from the "Hymn to Zeus."
Acts 17:28 - "'For in him we live and move and have our being'. As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'"
There are two quotations here: (1) "In him we live and move and have our being," from the Cretan poet Epimenides (c. 600 BC) in his "Cretica" and (2) "We are his offspring," from the Cilician poet Aratus (c. 315-240 BC) in his "Hymn to Zeus".
1 Corinthians 15:33 - "Do not be misled: 'Bad company corrupts good character.'"
A quotation from the Greek Comedy "Thais" written by the Greek poet Menander.
Titus 1:12,13a - "Even one of their own prophets has said, 'Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.' This testimony is true."
The quotation is the poet Epimenides (a 6th century BC native of Knossos, Crete) who was held in high esteem by the Cretans. Several fulfilled predictions were ascribed to him. Paul calls him a PROPHET and says of his statement, "this testimony is true."
