Berg spewed out so much anti-Paul garbage so that if you even quoted Paul you were called a Paul-worshiper, but if you memorized Mo-quotes & spent all day being forced to read MLs, well ... that was "spiritual."

Berg tried to portray Paul as a puritanical legalist who simply didn't get the simple words of Jesus which SURELY (if you interpreted them right) had to be saying you could have sex with anything on two legs -- ostriches not included. You could have sex with anyone no matter what relation to you, no matter what age, etc. And because Paul promoted marriage, and Berg said "God is the greatest destroyer of home and marriage that exists" and proceeded to break apart marriages in the late 80's by the score, leaving couples heartbroken and kids devastated, Paul was singled out as the "enemy" of religious freedom and some puritanical idiot.

Paul was a very radical, smart and cool dude, and I think these quotes from pagan Greek literature show that he was culturally relevant and not some overly- and weirdly-religious nut. Paul probably laughed his head off watching the comedies.

Berg condemned Paul for his sexual policies, because it was the kind of stuff Paul wrote that Berg didn't like to think about while he was having sex with own grandaughters.
