As my memory serves me, he argued against a cube because it wasn't a very architecturally-pleasing shape. He thought a pyramid looked prettier. And since God's Prophet wanted the Heavenly Jerusalem to be a pyramid, a pyramid it was. At least in his and our brains. I imagine it's gradually changing back to its normal shape now that we ourselves are going through a brain-morph towards sanity.
He DID however admit in his very first discussion of the pyramid shape that it was used by the Masons. What was so funny was that he put the pyramid all over the posters that came out, with the pyramid city as THE "sign of the Lord" that accompanied Jesus at his second coming. Apparently at Jesus' return =BLOOP!= the city would come out of the moon and appear in the sky. But when Christians across America saw the pyramid posters and continued to ask over and over again, "Is this New Age?" the order finally went out from Berg to stop distributing those posters.
Shame. The pyramid city had to =BLOOOP!= get sucked back into the moon again. Or back into Berg's brain, whatever the case may be.
