Well, I have to concur. The Family has definitely morphed and gotten further and further away from contact with Jesus the more they were transformed into the image of David Berg. The more they "obeyed the least of these commandments" of the laws of Berg (and now Maria and Peter) the more they descended into man-pleasing and into legalism -- which took them more and more further away from Jesus.
People in the group have Christian faith DESPITE the legalism, heresies and abuses of the group, not because of the man-pleasing laws of bondage. The more they think "We are it!" and the real 110%ers and better than all the rest, the more they walk in self-righteous pride which again takes them away from Jesus. Everything about the Family is designed to inspire unity around earthly leaders without freedom to follow God personally. And if they're honest they'll admit this is the case.
A lot of Family members, unfortunately, are slowly allowing their love and faith to be snuffed out by the many rules and regulations and policies of their false king and queen.
