nor say anything in its defense. the statement you "take exception to" is the one i posted a grammatical correction to. i made no statement of judgement, positive or negative, on the family or any church or group.i simply stated i did not believe the question itself was logical in a biblical framework.
i don't send people to the family. i feel it is a destructive spiritual system. i also have concluded that the Good Shepherd is the only one who can open the eyes of his sheep...i didn't figure things out on my own, or take an angry exmem's word for it. only he can lead them out. we can pray. we can witness. we can love. only God can really open their eyes.
i said nothing in defense of the fam. i have many relatives &loved ones still in. i long to see them walk in greater liberty. but i have personally concluded ranting, no matter how justified, hasn't helped me to open anyone's eyes. usually just the opposite. patience seems to give more room for light. He loves them, and knows them, better than i do. plus, He doesn't have as much problem forming sentences, (except maybe when trying to speak thru paul!j/k)
it would be nice if p&m read your post and decided you are right, and that it is time to disband. yet somehow this seems unlikely. personal relationships w/ individual fam mems w/ respect toward their individual sincerity and love for God, seems a far more hopeful approach.(2tim.2:24-26)
you didn't comment on the biblical passages that i cited. did they not have a bearing on the question raised in your mind? anyway, gb.
