Ditto on the congratulations! I totally respect your search and research. I find the subject interesting as well. I have done comparative studies on Islam and Buddhism (not in a university course tho) and know a fair amount about wicca and the occult from my pursuits as a teen.
I have friends of almost every philosophical and religious persuasion (many of them exers) and we have no trouble relating on the deep issues and experiences we have in common. Religious issues are interesting but I've never let them divide me from someone who differs with my views.
I guess one of the reasons I like to discuss issues related to Christian faith is not only cause that was my faith before I met the Family, and I've returned to it, but because the Family was an entire culture based upon a perverted interpretaiton of the Bible and Judeo-Christian concepts. So it's still the sorting-out process. And it's very interesting to sort thru the junk of their wrecked doctrines and sort out what was what.
