All I can say is I would LOVE to read NT Greek. I started one time a couple years ago, memorized the Greek alphabet and basic sounds but .... life happens. I had to work to pay the bills and you really can only do so many things at once.
Sometimes I think I'd like to learn Aramaic instead. sigh. Speaking of conspiracies, I've read some Aramaic websites who say that REALLY almost the entire NT was written in Aramaic and that there's the Greek "conspiracy" to say that the NT was originally written in Greek. I have a feeling that Q was mostly Aramaic, and the text behind Matthew and Mark etc. But most of the NT was written in Greek.
Is it true Sam, that the Gospel of John is good Greek (because John had help writing/editing it) but that the Greek of Revelation is barbaric and half-butchered becuase John, for whom Greek was a difficult second language, wrote that without any help?
