I am aware of the disucssion that John may have written the book of Revelation and his Gospel before the death of Nero. I followed that whole discussion on "Bible Search" between Daniel SW and George and others and found it very interesting.
But just the same, for John to have quoted the lenghty prayer of Jesus even 30 years later (from 30 AD to 60-some AD) without some kind of "source" or notes would be difficult. So whether he wrote in 60-some or 90-some AD, I think he'd still have needed some notes to work from, some primary documents.
