Applying that principle

Peace was extended as an opportunity to everyone and the fact that everyone doesn't accept it is due to their own personal choices. It's kind of like Jesus sending out his disciples, remember? He told them, "When you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace RETURN to you." (Matthew 10:12-13) The peace went out but didn't settle. It returned.

And if whole cities didn't accept the peace Jesus went on to say in this same passage that it would be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!

I'm wondering how this applies in our experience to the Family. They refuse the truth, refuse to acknowledge their crimes and abuses, refuse to let people be free, refuse to stop lading widows with heavy burdens....do you suppose that since they stubbornly refuse to change or listen, that God's peace lifts off them and they're heading to a hotter place than Sodom and Gomorroh? Is the Family as an organization "Ichabod"? I definitely think so.
