Yes, I think there are still some real Christians in the Family. Exactly "who love[s] God and [is] called according to His purpose" is impossible for us to judge. We can't see inside them, and there is so much misunderstanding about what His purpose is (I certainly don't have it all figured out!).
Most of us desired to trust God and tried our best to cooperate with His purposes, even though, in many ways, we missed it completely. I don't believe God holds is against us, though. "Like as a father pitieth [his] children, [so] the LORD pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we [are] dust" Psa 103:13,14.
