I want to thank you all who participated in the conversation. I am still intrigued by the idea that there are real Christians in the Family.
How can a real Christian, one who is a part of the Body of Christ, could willingly be in The Family knowing full well The Family's doctrines contradicting some of the basic Law's of God and Jesus' own words?
This is not to say that the power of God is reduced at all but that individual's decisions can and do control God's power to lead him/her.
I also still think that God can lead people to join The Family. If I have seen anything at all is that all stages are stepping stones. A Christian, even though he/she walks through the fire of a diabolical cult, she/she "shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee". Not everybody sees it this way but I know in my case my life would have ended up much differently and with a different set of experiences. In other words, I would not be me now but somebody else I may not like.
We have strong opinions on these subjects and rightly so. We earned that right and I respect it because we all have been through times that have for the most part strengthened our character. The respect shown to differing views has helped me more than I am able to express. Thank you to all of you. Our prayers do things to our life. God still hears us and will give us what we ask for, sometimes even the wrong thing.
