You are right. It is a contradiction I am still work on right now. Reading the posts below it seems that I am not alone on this one. Many people seem to think that The Family harbors some Christian people but how did they get there? The explanation is that they are deceived by their own desires, which is fine and makes sense. What doesn't make sense to me is the "fried-frog" explanation because not accepting the direction of the Holy Spirit will result in final rejection. How can that be reconciled with their continuation as being Christians. Running with wolves one might learn how to howl but will never become a wolf.
Have you worked this out? If so, how?
