Dismantling

I have been reading a large number of posts about Christians in the family.

I think being a Christian in the family must be like being the only straight person in an insane mafia family. You get up one morning in the seventies and everyone is hating their parents and other "systemites". Some are heading back to Egypt to "spoil" it so they can go over-seas like an army. Then one night after weeping, farting and barfing up prophetic tidbits Berg says some thing like "...we scare the husbands, rip off their wives and steal their children while they run for their lives". Meanwhile the leadership is secretely learning berg's sexual doctrines and fucking like they are barren rabbits desperate to have offspring.

So you as a Christian see the word on adultery and using others. You have some problems with it but count it as being an old bottle. Meanwhile everyone, including you, is provisioning up a storm in order to survive. Everyone has the speil down cold and "God" is blessing it all. In the meantime the rank and file are involved in personal relationships that do seek after the word but berg is getting bolder in his deviance and perversions that he has practiced for years.

As time passes you and your loved ones are just starting to be indoctinated with the "Wonder Working" words as birthday warning hits. You as a christian are swept along in a mighty wave of litnessing and raising huge sums of money for the "rev" as a member of the "team". The family leadership gets rich and the rank and file are futher devalued into roles as paper boys. Again all the christians have to shift heavily as the FF revolution hits. Suddenly wives are hookers, making it pay for "God and David". Men become consorts or pimps as several years of total excess take over the family. You struggle as you know that the law of love really has no root in the word other than being sinful. We all become part of a prostitution rackett and the family begins to look like an association of shrine temple prostitutes or the religious arm of the mob. Now our leader is a pimp king with "many buisnesses" around the world.

One painful day you, as a christian in your heart, sit down one day and look over the davidito book. Now you know that Berg is indeed a criminal molester of children. You try to wrap your mind around that one. You try dismissing it like a wierd preference doctrine. The truth is you know in your own heart what child abuse is and the works of a pedophile is what berg is producing, pop quiz; What do you do? Berg is teaching it or pushing it as "doctrine" and inviting others to do so. Suddenly being a christian in your heart in the family has brought you to a crisis of belief. Something has to give.

For many it means leaving the family in order to stay in touch with the reality of Jesus. For others they try to avoid the controversy and just step around the issues. Some go bonkers and destroy themselves. Some are afraid and are so conditioned they mosey along as best they can.

There is a certain point, I think, where you come to that crisis of belief and you have to make a choice. I learned that the begining of freedon started with accepting the fact that berg was a false prophet, a hirling, a thief and criminally disordered. Once you know the reality of this, in your heart, you can start dismantling the family internally. His doctrines lose their power when you realize the emperor has no clothes and is wretched, naked and blind spiritually. Berg took all the loves of the flesh for himself. Like many who tried to be like a God he also died insane and without admitting his sin. Unfortunately he took many with him. If there are any Christians still in the family who are selective about following doctrine but are unable to leave I feel really sad for them. To have to put up with all the usurary, false truth and living on the spiritiual killing floor created by the family's core values must totally crush any real Christian's heart. To see bloody hands all day and to watch your friends and children become enraged, depart or struggle to stay alive must be a living hell. I cannot really be specific but I know that the offenses happened and still continue to happen. Mos of us know several loved ones or friends who are in the family and are caught in it, cruising along or tring to foget the bad. I think that attitude gives the family lie an added effectiveness. If a person does not see berg as a false prophet and possibly accepts berg as God's ".. man for the hour" , but one who "failed" in some ways they are still caught by Berg and are a victim.(IMO)
