Sort of like Berg required some regional leaders to take on indiginous 2nd or 3rd wives to obtain HIS saving favor? What tangled webs some of those have become.
I had some friends in Canada before I met the COG that were excommunicated Mormons, because the continued in Poligamy. I knew the wives, who lived in different states and some of the kids. The guys loved it, had careers, were well educated and were quite arrogant ass well. The gals were raising tons of kids and always wondering if every woman was the next. In some ways it seemed rather appealing at the time. Smooth talkers they were. I was the fish that got away, thank God.
By the way, Donny, do you know the dates when the Church finally outlawed poligamy? I was parusing my history books and have not come on it. I think I remember reading that it was around the 200's.
