Thanks juni, I really enjoyed some of the articals on that site. One was on the racism of radical feminists. I agree with his assesment that the femist, though recognizing the anti- feminism of Islam reject the Jewish history of racism and ani-feminism. Many of them jewish are quite racist as well and refuse to recognize the ongoing racism and anti-feminism of Isreal.
That term, feminism, a bit different than what we know as radical-feminism, a sort of Malcom X version of Civil Rights. Feminism in many countries is a source of survival for woman. It's a long and difficult path to go from slave to human created in the image of God and maturing in the care of our sisters and brothers. I find that recognizing our own history is one of the first step to healing our future. You might be interestd in some of the articals on these sites. It seeks to expose in Jewish and Christian history, it's racist and anti-feminist attitudes and the solutions that we can begin in our lives and our world.
The Christain History Mag is a subsidiary of Christianity Today, who's views I sometimes disagree with, but in it's archives is a wealth of honest scolarship on women's history in the Hebrew tradition and the Church. "Women in the Early Church", Vol VII Isssue 1, #17, and "Women in the Medieval Church, Vol X, Issue 30, #2 are excellent", as is the special issue on "100 most important events in CHurch History", Vol IX, Issue 28, #4. A very scholastc bunch.
CBE is my very most favorite bunch of Ladies and Gentlemen, all active in todays's churches and agressivly attempting to break down racial and feminist barriers and bring the standard up to Christ's.
An intresting quote from one of the Church fathers, Irenaeus, "error indeed is never set forth in it's naked deformity, lest being thus exposed, it should at once be detected."
I think we are constantly in the process of finding more and more truth as painful as that is at time, as we ourselves are often shamfully exposed.
