That's quite the experience! I never experienced anything to that degree, though a few things came close, but I would have totally freaked if I had been in that situation. At least you had the courage to take your kids out of the room and not participate, that takes so much courage in a group that has such peer pressure, and then to later be chastised for your courage, as Ron Weasly would say:
"Bloody Hell!"
