Were you ever a member of the COG? They gradually break down your ability to analyze whatever they are teaching you. You learn to suppress the still, small voice of God and your conscience which tell you this stuff is wrong.
Look at what happened to kidnap victims such as Patty Hearst and Elizabeth Smart. These young women ended up embracing their captors after months of brain-washing.
Deception is a powerful condition, and strangely enough, its victims often assist the deceivers.
