And this becomes more complicated still when one's "child" is still in the Family.
My almost-25 year old daughter is married, has 2 children, and is in the Family and living/working in Africa. I absolutely believe and know that she is an intelligent, gentle, good hearted soul, a wonderful mother to her little ones, and sincerely loves Jesus and is motivated by a love for people znd desire to help others.
Yes, if it were up to me, she would not be in the Family. But, I know from my own experience with my parents and my many years in the Family, that ranting and railing at her will do no good. I do email her often and simply tell her about my life and that of her brothers and sisters, etc.
So my feelings for her, at odds with those I hold about the Family and many of its teachings and everything else, make for a very confusing mix. I love her and believe in her and what is in her heart.
Would be curious to hear any thoughts on this.
Thanks,
Laura
