"I was in the COG for four years, but I'm thankful I left in early 1974, which was a few years before the group went into their moral tailspin."
To make a statement like that you'd have to be in denial.
The group was already in moral tailspin from the beginning. The self-righteous better than other Christians attitude was already prevalent. Outright rebellion and war against the churches had been declared. The very first Mo letter Old Church New Church was written and hinted of Berg's sexual interests in Faithy. Revolutionary Love-making, Love-making In The Spirit, Women in Love had been written. Abrahim spiritism glorifying a murderous, jealous, patriarchal, drunken, sex pervert were already written. Berg already had taken on another woman without even divorcing his wife. His immorality was already clearly bleeding through. Enough examples?
