it occurs to me that the Master does not call us by label, but by name.(jn 10). the label "christian" was not originally applied to the followers by either themselves or God(ac 11:26). and certainly the term has an ambiguous meaning today at best.
and the labels that we tend to hang on the being commonly known as God are often embarrasingly flat. cs lewis wrote in a poem:
"Thoughts are but coins. Let me not trust,instead
Of Thee, their thin-worn image of Thy head.
From all my thoughts, even from my thoughts of
Thee,
O Thou fair Silence fall, and set me free."
yet i, along w/ lewis, still believe that "in Him dwellest the fullness of the godhead bodily." but like the psalmist and paul confess, such knowledge is too wonderful for me. we see thru a glass darkly. yet gazing upon him we are transformed by beholding.
