Yes, that happened to me, too, and I still have herpes to this day! And about STD's, I had them every month! I felt that I was more "revolutionary" to not use a condom. We looked down at the married sister who used them with her fish so she could keep her husband free of disease. Ugh! I was brainwashed. And about being coerced to have sex happening these days... yes, the "spirit" of true love and unselfishness is there to this day. I just left TF two months ago. I was so happy that when the Law of Love series came out and stated right away that "sex wasn't the most important part of the LOL"..., but then at the end of the series we are given the message that to "share" was a basic part of TF and what makes us different from the bad churches. Plus, sharing even though it wasn't to satisfy your own needs, you were having "fellowship" which would make us more united. Then all those Letters came out about Misty and her jealousy, and yes, even Mama Maria got jealous with Peter sharing between the generations! But, those two were revolutionary enough to forsake their own feelings and just go on with the Lord... what a wonderful sample of pure unselfishness... YUk, Yuk and triple YUK.
