we are loose knit thats for sure. we're almost unraveled in fact. i think most of us have done that for so long & burnt out on it & now like Donny said we have to earn a living to suport our families & recover from the cult.
You say we learned how to preach the gospel. We learned lots of worng ways in the cult. you don't need to learn much. you just talk about Jesus, right? anyone can do that, not just people who were once in the Family.
i think i know what your'e getting at, tha twe were so idealist to preach the Gospel tha twe joined the Family, so dont we still have that idealism once we're out? i'd say for many of us the anser is no. We're burned out and need to takecare of our families. Besides most missionaries even come home & get back to a regular life after 15 to 20 years of service. We done that & suffered horible abuse we dint' bargan on, & now i think its time we all had a break.
i really don't think we need religious pressure to 'serve God'. We've done that & i for one think living a simple Christian life is serving God. i don't think you meant bad but you got to understand what we've been thru & where were at now.
