Okay, thanks for the clarification. It just seems to me that there is a cause-effect relationship between the fam experience and what is termed "backsliding." I understand you don't see it that way, but I see it in so many others who have had a sincere faith, only to have it shattered as a result of the actions of evil men. I'm not just talking about the fam, but so-called mainline denominations too.
Sometimes I feel the bitterness and anger boil up in your reply to someone who has suggested returning to Christianity. I felt that directed at me as well. Sorry, but I can't help but wonder about the root of that negativity.
I do hope we can be at least cordial if not friends. Lets follow the suggestion of that old song, "Ya gotta accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative..." Our mutual experiences both good and bad in the fam give us plenty of common ground.
