I have known Buddhist missionaries, and by the way from a guy I personally knew who was trying to be a monk, it isn't such an innocent religion at all.
They believe heavily in spiritual possession, you just never get to hear about those secret beliefs(sound familiar?)
And from my experience in South East Asia, I didn't have to try very hard to talk to people, because they were scared to death. Their religion did not bring them peace. And they gave them no hope of a kingdom of heaven, or a way to get there.
I never had to force, they wanted it.
But you probably know that.
