Okay, to explain the famous "Keys"... you know the verse Matthew 16:19 where Jesus told Peter that he gave him the "keys to the Kingdom" and "whatsoever you loose or bind on earth will be done..." ect. Well, I guess someone got the revelation that a person needs to take this literally and "claim the power of the keys" whenever you pray. So, in closing to your prayers you are to say "...we claim the power of the keys in Jesus' Name, amen". This, for me, was too unclear as to "what" keys we are using. Maybe others thought so, too. So, now there are the "keys to healing, or supply, or faith, or whatever". Plus, Maria's coming up with new scripture using the "keys"... pages of "key promises" were given out to the homes. These are on cardstock to be cut out and used as Bible promises. There are also children's versions of most quotes. They have gone way off on these "keys". It's like the Seventh Day Adventists went so far off on that one verse about the "sabbath day", or the Jehovah Witnesses are into "the name of Jehovah", etc. So, these "key promises" were also written about in a 3 book series called "The Seven Keys". It's a "spirit story" (one of many), about how the power of the keys will loose all the power of God, and it will protect you and give you that sort of "Heaven's Girl" type of power. I was reading a book about how some people are caught into spiritual abuse relationships or groups (like we were) and one of the traits of such a group is to have their own language or terms which are unknown to "outsiders", or to have some kind of song to unite them (now it's "The Song of Victory" - gotten by revelation and sung at every feast time or "heavy" time of re-dedication, or area fellowships). These "key" verses seem quite strange for "outsiders", so it sets the F. out more from other Christians. That is what Maria desperately wants... to be totally set apart so "the unclean thing won't touch them". So, you know, it's cute... when I happen to have met a more obediant type of young person, when I hear them pray, they just sort of rattle off the "keys" verse at the end of their prayer... they know they have to do it, but it's just like saying the rosary for Catholics... another ritual.
