The Family young people I know locally home school, but do end up passing the GED (recognized as being equal to a US High School Education). I don't know if that is just a rule in that specific home, or if it is followed in other homes. Also, since the GED is a US thing, I'm not sure what they would do outside the US to demonstrate an equal level of education.
