Family Pseudo Education

One more thing about the new policy about all kids being able to get their high school diploma... you see, they can get their high school diploma anyway their home sees fit... but anyone who knows Family life knows that "serving the Lord" takes pre-eminace to anything and we know that JJT, taking care of kids or cooking is "serving the Lord"! Plus, the education is not so complete, but more like a whitewash to "obey the charter". They are supposed to keep the kids in during school hours, but that doesn't mean they are studying. Any home schooler knows all the "home emergencies" that come up during one given day... especially when you have so many kids. There are more smaller homes nowadays, and one or two families living together just have so much to do... so-called "living by faith" could mean that papa stayed out all night "night-singing", or YA so & so has a modelling job in the next town and can't take the kids tomorrow... and so the kid's education is pushed to the back burner. Plus, all parents know how hard it is to teach your own kids... kids just love to fool around. Getting the "system" to do it actually is a blessing because you don't have that familiarity, right? Plus, you have a systematic type of schooling with all the basics and lot's of practice and it doesn't matter if another teacher comes in or if you move, because it's basically the same. In a Family home, maybe a new "aunty or uncle" comes in and he hates teaching phonics, but he loves math... what will be his priority... math! What if the teacher is a YA who didn't even finish her schooling.... and she has to learn herself? What if the teacher is a high school drop-out and hated school and just loves "get-out"! Ha! You get it, right? So, they eventually take the GED to see if they at least measure up with the basics... and yes, probably you can find a lot of kids do pass the test... but I just don't think they're getting a good enough foundation in education. Home schoolers have their problems, too, you know. But they aren't a cult trying to lie to the public with all of their PR and lies to try to sell us a sham. The Family has their "ammendments' in the Charter, but life in a Family home is full of daily changes!
