I am not really the coordinator here, though I work on this site. I did not read this thread for the very reasons that I see is happening. I do not like to be pigeonholed into anything. Afterall, we spent so many years following crazy doctrines out of fear, that we should never have to be placed in that position again.
I also do not like the attitude, if you aren't one of us, then you will burn in Hell, etc., etc., or that we are the only ones that are right. I don't care how many ways you cut it, it's just not the God and Jesus I know and believe in. Does it make me wrong? I don't know - is there a wrong and right? The Bible does say that man judges on the outward appearance but God judges on the heart. I think God is big enough to know everyone's heart. There are plenty of so-called practicing believing Christians that deserve to spend the rest of eternity in hell, but that's not my call. By the same token, there are plenty more people that do not practice what we've come to know as Christianity today - i.e., go to church, stand around bible thumping people, but have a heart of gold, help others in need and never hurt anyone. It would be a cruel God to send someone like that to hell. I just don't believe that stuff. I think if you believe that stuff, then something got lost in the translation.
I just don't think we need to pigeonhole anyone. This is supposed to be a board about Journeys - not preaching what someone should or shoudln't believe. This is supposed to be about debunking the Christianity Berg peddled to us and seeing the twists he made to use for his own benefit. It's supposed to be about healing and helping us sort that out. It's not about telling someone or someones where to get off in their belief system.
