Did you read that case recently down in So. Cal where some guy who was coerced into joining that cult at 14 was convicted of ripping off investors? He admitted to it and worked with the D.A.'s office on it. The D.A. suggested a lessor sentence but the judge gave him the stiffer sentence. He claimed he was being led by the leaders of that group, but the judge wouldn't buy it and gave him a stiffer sentence. I think we have a long way to go in our society in understanding cults. Jim Jones and David Koersh come to mind.
