That i how i feel sometimes. This article, I am curious what periodical it came from? The way I see it,the article twists the content of the law's intention with the interpretation of religious extremism or an ultra-conservative point of view. The bible was used as sexual abuse by Berg, and THAT is a crime. BERG was the criminal.
The bible can also be used to justify prejudice and even harm to homosexuals, using the bible in that way is abusive and those who do that are criminal. That is how I see it.
Judging a person according to their natural sexuality is bigoted, narrow-minded and just as ignorant as saying a left-handed person is going to hell. You know, teachers and parents used to beat kids that were left-handed to make them right-handed using biblical references about the right and left side (wheat and tares). Then later they realized that it caused a lot of damage. I think that happened to my father, he was born left-handed and beaten into right-handedness in the name of God. NOT AT ALL UNCOMMON IN SOCIETY IN HIS DAY. Funny thing is, left-handedness is from right-brain.. hmmm. And if the way is narrow to get into "heaven" then I guess God actually saves only left-handed people. Hey, that could be a cult leader's doctrine or basis. Cults SO LOVE FEAR. And hate, in the name of Love..
