Beating up homosexuals would be a hate crime. Pointing out what the overwhelming majority of Christians, Moslems, Jews, and most other faiths believe is a sin is definately not a hate crime! Good grief, I can hear the echoes of the jackboots in that kind of thinking! If that kind of logic were followed to its ultimate conclusion, there would be book-burnings of Bibles, and all Bible-believing Christians would be sent to the gulags!
Let me hoist you upon your own petard. Do you believe that pedophilia is a sin? If you prefer, we'll call it a crime instead of sin.
If so, then the pedophiles can accuse you of committing a hate crime!
If you think anything goes, then anything goes. If there are no absolutes or standards regarding homosexuality, then on what basis do you say no to any other sexual act? Don't you see the slippery slope you are standing on?
