I think that even if someone did feel that way, criminal case law goes against that kind of thinking.
Patty Hearst (I was kidnapped), The Menedez Brothers (My Daddy was mean to me), Son of Sam (I was brainwashed by a dog), etc. All in jail.
"The devil made me do it" hasn't been a good defense, thus far.
