Hi, I became interested in 'occultism' about twenty five years ago and read all the Lobsang Rampa books, (amongst many other books) Rampa claimed quite forcefully that all his books were absolutely true and that the fact that he may have been a plumber at one time was irrelevant. I just read a load of pretentious nonsence from some guy (deceased now) in a 'Tibetan Review' denouncing Ramparism and also Madame Blavatsky. I think the Rampa books were a very clever way of introducing very important teachings to the general public, at least those that were receptive. Some may indeed think the contents of those books 'fantastic' but I can tell you that truth is 'fantastic' and perhaps somewhat 'shocking' to the unsuspecting average person. Whether or not Rampa was who he claimed to be as a personage was really totally irrelevant to the important message he spelt out. Actually he wasn't a fraud at all. Martin Kay
