We're all kind of burned-over fields because of our experiences but your suggestions are good. We're just shy of high-demand religious groups that place high demands on our lives. for those who wish there are missionary groups like Youth With a Mission and others who you can join for however long and do good stuff, then leave whenever you wish with no one condemning you. They do good stuff like disaster relief and building homes and schools besides missionary work, but not with the Family's ulterior motives.
