Society has had some taboos which were rooted in something that was minority or different.
Some examples are the left-handed thing. Interracial marriage, people of color being considered less than white race, etc.
Homosexuality is between consenting of age people. It is a minority preference. Many people in homosexual relationships are bi-sexual (meaning they fall in love with a person, and it can be a man OR a woman).
Left-handed people were brutalized in the not-distant past. People of color have been and still are in some areas, but they are much stronger as they are not so much the minority and in fact, are majority in many areas.
Interracial marriage or intercultural marriage is still frowned upon by all sides in many instances. But I could never oppose a marriage between two of age people.

Here are some instances where one person is on the vulnerable side, and the other seen as superior or looked up to for advice and guidance. Therefore there is a code of ethics or a societal understanding of boundaries which are criminal or prosecutable:
Adult: Child
Psychiatrist/Therapist/Counselor: Patient/Client
Teacher: Student
and of course:
Human: Animal

The bible in it's original languages does not clearly establish that homosexuality is the issue. Even in Sodom and Gomorrah, the issue was not homosexuality, but rape, murder, incest, society gone awry, INCLUDING LOT who offered his own daughters to the rapacious crowd.
I also realize that there are literal contradictions in the bible where there are different accounts of the same event. Berg taught that the KJV bible was flawless. Not so.
Jesus taught that the LAW of the LETTER kills but the SPIRIT gives life.
The things that homosexuals can do that are unhealthy are the same things that heteros can do that are unhealthy or illegal.
I don't know how to explain it any clearer.
Like the "Girl Who Wouldn't" Letter; many people think "How terrible that this woman was subjected to such a scathing humiliation and rejection because Berg was trying to get her to go against nature even" Well I can say, as a lesbian, that all those times that I was pressured and even forced to have sex in the family with MEN, it was none the less traumatic for me.
I do not hate men but the majority of my men friends are gay men because they feel so safe (the ones that are my friends!) and they are funny and, well, I don't know if you have noticed, but they are clean and know how to dress... ;)
