I'm glad you brought that up. That is exactly what happened to me too. It was that forsaking all fear syndrome, that if we didn't give up everything (what's that verse about giving up all your possesions?) we would suffer the fate of A&S? God became a cruel dictator to me in one moment while at the same time being the loving "father." It was total confusion. The whole representation was wrong, but I didn't know it then, I was ingorant, as we all were. Still, that story affects me to this day, why is it even in the bible and did they really drop dead? I can't wait to hear what others have to say.
