It's hard to admit to making the mistake when we thought we were following God and the Bible is being used on us to tell us not to leave, or we'd be judged by God, something bad would happen to our children, etc., etc. I think that is a crime, for people to put themselves in a spiritual situation like that and use that power to damage the lives of others. Also, we were young and ignorant on so many things. We didn't know all these things we know now. I didn't know that all these groups were so much alike. When you have no access to reading material other than Berg letters or approved reading lists or movies, then you have no hope of seeing anything other than what you are being told.
