As a hippy, when I joined it was nothing but the clothes on my back, but I did have 2 yrs of university credits behind me.
But a good number of us hippies as time passed found ourselves receiving inheritances, which we gladly forsook to "the cause". The forsaking all was not just when we joined.
Also, speaking for myself, the longer I stayed in the Family, the more it became years of my life that had been given to the so-called "cause" my bankrupt idealism kept me sucked into.
