Most of what I was exposed to in the early 70s during my time in TF were the basic Mo letters. I agree that these writings have a lot of creepy, pernicious ideas, because there's nothing that Mo came out with in the late 70s and 1980s that really surprised me. I simply don't agree with folks who think Berg was basically sound in the beginning and then went off track. It's more like Deborah Davis says, Berg's teachings were corrupt from the very beginning primarily as a consequence of his spiritual arrogance.
