I really enjoyed his books but only the first 2 or 3 had merit. I find intriguing that some thought the tales were real as plausible as they were. It reminds me of books by Carlos Castaneda and later the Celestine Prophecy. Science fiction is popular because humans seem to have the need to expand their intellect - or is it "escape their intellect"?
