We are in complete agreement about that.

The analogy with Capone is that they never were able to prove that he was a murderer. But, they put him away just the same, over his greed.

I think it is well documented that The Family has contributed to a number of deaths. They have encouraged people to not seek medical help for easily problems that could be easily cured. They have driven some to suicide. But, that isn't the same as murder. However, in the real world, people do answer for things like wrongful death (civil) and manslaughter (criminal).

It is very difficult to get to Family Leadership. However, a big piece of the money puzzle is right in Southern California with FCF, Activated and Sunny-Side Up. I think it may have been a huge tactical error to put those organizations inside the US where guys like you and me can get their financial reports. But, there is the greed factor. Just like Capone, they locate themselves where they can get their hands on the largest amount of cash. They believe that God is on their side, and that they are the smartest human beings on the planet. So, they flagrantly publish details about their spending habits, and figure that nobody will ever be smart enough to look right in front of their own faces and figure it out.

What's new about that? Several years ago, they flagrantly published manuals on how to abuse children, complete with pornographic photos. They pretty much got away with that too.
