TF stopped being Christian not at a certain time and place. Christian priciples have always been around within TF but mixed with so much poison to innoculate us that it became hard to see. Some people are still unable to see it, even now.
The same can be said about the hypocrisy and lies. We were somehow immune to all of that, maybe because we were participants and didn't want to see our nice little self as "the bad guy".
Yes, there was and is a lot of wrong and bad in the family but the difference is that they are coing out of the closet now as being unafraid that the world sees it. That is what's scary and not for what it says about the family but about the world.
