It`s wonderful to read, what happens, if we pray one for another, if we are really concerned...having real love (agape)...it`s a real happy end...or
intermediate stage....as lots of other goals are yet to be achieved for them...after leaving the family, I also had some "trouble" finding my spiritual position & anchor, as far as fellowships, churches are concerned...I noticed that especially charismatic movements are rather prone to extra
believes, often weird theories & downright blashemic
ones, e.g. the JDS-teaching (Jesus died spiritually)
of a K.Hagin or others...also their divorcerate seems to me higher than in other groups, although I don`t know that for sure...however I stay clear away from some of them, they go on and on in tongues, when Paul advises to speak publicly only when an interpretation can be given...it doesn`t
bother them, yet they always ask people, whether they speak in tongues, since it proves to them,
to be filled with the Holy Spirit...Elisabeth
however didn`t immediately, from what we know, when filled with it (Luke 1:42)...
Also they really seem to admire leaders tons...
Sounds all too familiar...
I am thankful for Sam, that he took the time of writing down this very intense lifestory & thanks for posting it here...I believe, it`ll be a real
blessing for many, who come to this site...
In Part 6 of his lifestory, explaining where the
Family-use of the analogy Romans/Police stems from,
I think it should read Romans chapter 13 instead of one...well the "street" was right, just the
housenumber seems to be different to me...
Anyway, wonderful job, Sam!!!Also loads of honesty,...it made me realise again, that in the beginning TF`s preaching of repentance &
salvation was right on...why did they dump...neglect
baptising though? When I joined, asking them, they said, it`s now more important & sufficient to be filled with the Holy Spirit...
I am not negating this altogether, however, why does Jesus ordain His disciples to do so in all the world???? (Mt.28:19)
Sad to say with this: your 2 year old can receive Jesus...they wouldn`t even think of the need of repentance in young peoples lives too, or a baptism for that matter...I think, this is another
key in understanding, where TF got off the track.
