Generally, when a model poses they sign a release that allows the photos to be used by the photographer for any purpose, forever. This includes selling them to someone else.
I get a lot of questions from parents and young people about breaking into the entertainment business. I tend to suggest that young people stay away from modeling. It is one of the few areas of entertainment that isn't unionized, so models have few, if any rights to control over their image.
