Hi Erica. I am glad you are posting here. I can relate so much to what you have expressed. After leaving I went through and still continue to go through so many changes regarding what do I believe or do NOT believe. Sometimes this is a struggle for me and other times it does not bother me at all. One thing that I personally feel certain of is that if there is a God, that God is a loving God or presence or good energy that understands this stuggle I have, that many if not most exers deal with and that there is no condemnation or "hellfire" for me.
I don't know how the holidays are for you, but I used to get very depressed around that time of the year and about the best thing I could do was sleep through much of it. Still, it is not the best season. My favorite holidays are Halloween and New Years.
Hang in there and I hope you will tell me more about your life outside of the family. Take care!
