I'm not sure if I agree with your take, but it's great to see you're asking questions and moving beyond small boundaries, kicking over Berg's traces. I can't endorse every bit of Christian examples and churches I see but then I don't have to, all I have to do is be responsible for how I'm understanding and living it. One of my main things is learning to "not handle the Word of God deceitfully" as Paul said, and my take on that is people like Berg who know good and well what the plain meaning of the text is, but who are listening to their lusts just the same. For me it's not always important tha tliving what I believe is an easy open skate but if there are hard things then I just let them be hard things.
