I remember talking in New Delhi with a Dutch brother
during the "honesty revolution" about the letter faith.He knew Old Greek from school & he also couldnīt confirm what I assumed before, that there
doesn`t seem to be yet a common root between
pino= to drink & pisteuo=to believe although that would be not too bad either, at least Berg would be
for a change a little bit more right...I must admit though, that I always liked that picture of a newborn trusting the mother out of need & instinct, out of love, received...
The story also went like this, that the brother didn`t feel comfortable about knowing something
"better" than "God`s prophet"...since there was this big woe of how dare we to be critical of his
anointed...it became ridiculous to downright
dangerous...
