lydia, you are nothing if not consistent!
about pretending, i'm not suggesting that. why should we have to pretend to have a dialogue that tries to understand where each other are coming from, and recognizing that none of us has a lock on all truth. personally, i believe that there is much truth to be gathered from some of the insights in others faiths, and know many from other traditions who would honor many of the teachings of christ. clearly there are important differences worthy of exploration, but just shooting across the dmz doesn't promise much growth in any quarter.
by the way, if alan wants to simply declare pantheism "false" it may help his case if he at least defined it correctly.
