This is really laborious. I don't know who doesn't get offended when they meet someone who has the attitude you described and it can come in many shapes, sizes, colors, religions, dogmas, political stance, etc., etc. I can come to a screeching halt when I hear people discuss their beliefs of socialism or political party or favorite political candidate or anything for that matter when it's laced with just that very same "I have the corner on truth" attitude or "I really know where it's at more than you." One certainly does not have to have a belief in an all knowing God or that Jesus is the only way to salvation to have that "I have the corner on God/knowledge/fill in the blank" attitude. I was not defending Alan as being perfectly benign but simply his right to state his belief system which now I am under the gun as being intolerant. How ironic. Makes me want to crawl under a hole and give up. How's that for your own personal brand of tolerance? So far not so good. what you are advocating is that someone who has lost tolerance for anything Christian or bible oriented be able to state their beliefs, but not be able to hear from anyone else with a differing opinion. If it's that bad, then they could go to GenX where Christians basically are not able to even bring up their own belief system. Now you want to stifle them on a spiritual board also? Where is this going?
